Last Second Goal Leads Mules to 1-0 Victory
(Carlisle, Pa.) –The Dickinson women's soccer team suffered a heartbreaking loss on Saturday as visiting Muhlenberg College scored in the final 15 seconds of the match to secure a, 1-0, victory at Miller Field.
The game was even for the better part of the match with the Red Devils actually holding the edge in possession at times. Dickinson outshot the visitors, 17-8, while the Mules led in corners, 5-4.
Susan Galgan tallied the game-winner scoring off an assist from Nicole Karsch with just 15 seconds remaining in regulation.
Amanda Wong made five saves in goal for Muhlenberg at they improve to 4-4-1.
Sophomore Charlotte Armour (New Haven, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall) made two saves in the nets for Dickinson.
The Red Devils slip to 4-4-2 overall and 0-1-2 in the Centennial Conference. They are home again next Saturday, hosting Bryn Mawr College at 1:00 pm.
